Description
Unless you like your cakes -really- rich then do not make these. Ever.
Ingredients
- 4 oz butter
- 11 oz caster sugar
- 225 g at least 70% cocoa dark chocolate
- 3 oz plain flour
- 3 oz cocoa powder
- 5 eggs
- 250 g raspberries
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C.
Beat together the butter and the caster sugar until 'light and fluffy'. Melt the chocolate, allowing it to cool slightly before adding it to the butter mix and beating more to combine.
Add the flour, cocoa and eggs to the mixture, and mix well. Finally, fold in the raspberries. I used frozen, and I think that was a good call as the sharpness cut through the insanity of the chocolateyness.
Grease a fairly large baking tin with butter, and line with greaseproof paper. Pour in the mix and bake in the centre of the oven for 20 minutes. They should be 'set but still moist in the middle'.
Notes
I really wasn't sure about these. They made my face hurt. But two people I know couldn't get enough of them, so if you are really into your rich, sticky, chocolate type things then I dare you to take on the brownie challenge!
